Lashonda miller-kidd
LaShonda Miller-Kidd is an accomplished, compassionate, empathetic, and solutions-oriented Mental Health Professional. She is dedicated to providing exceptional care and implementing effective plans for families and individuals experiencing or exposed to crisis situations. She has demonstrated a track record of success working with diverse client populations in one-on-one and group setting. She an effective motivator, communicator, and advocate with inherent ability to manage all types of personalities, defuse stressful situations, proactively resolve issues, and assists others to achieving their personal goals.
LaShonda retired from Mississippi State Hospital June 2019 after twenty-five years of service. She worked within the Psychology department as a behavioral/clinical therapist and program administrator. She also worked at St. Dominic’s Behavioral Health unit as an Intake Coordinator, Mississippi Children as Allies as a Respite Therapist, and Cares/Ark as a behavioral specialist.
LaShonda has been instrumental in raising awareness about mental health in the community, breaking down stigma and encouraging others to seek support when needed. She has shown a deep and unwavering dedication to improving the lives of others. She has a unique ability to empower clients, while helping them find their inner strength and resilience. She has helped countless individuals navigate through life's challenges, always with compassion and empathy. LaShonda brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of mental health.
LaShonda is married to Tyrone Kidd. They have four children, Tyrone (Raven), Tyesha (Austin), Sundaria and Shamiah Kidd and three precious grandchildren Riley, Nina, and Tytus.
